Case Study 1

Information Technology (IT) is just like a bundle of all this things: the water piping system; the electrical lining system; the bicycle; the roads and highways; the library; the printing press; the telephone; the airplane; and many more. A career in IT is not a dead-end job; it’s a continuous learning and innovating of a lot of things.
Do we really know what Information Technology is? Well, actually Information Technology was a very broad word to be defined. Many things are involved when Information Technology is being discussed. The term seemed to be very familiar, but it is hard to express. But looking to its acronym itself-Information Technology perhaps, it has something to do with information and technology relationship. But for us to understand fully what really Information Technology means, just try to read and understand this. According to my research, Wikipedia says that Information Technology is the area of managing technology and spans wide variety of areas that include but are not limited to things such as processes, computer, information systems, hardware, programming, and data constructs. In short, anything that renders data, information or perceived knowledge in any visual format whatsoever, via any multimedia distribution mechanism, is considered part of the domain space known as Information Technology (IT). It is also a branch of engineering that deals with the use of computers and telecommunications to retrieve, store and transmit information. It is the “the stud, design, development, implementation, support or management of computer-based information systems, particularly software applications and computer hardware. It is also defined as the industry or discipline that develops, install, and implements computer and network systems and applications. Today, information technology with regard to many aspects of computing and technology, and the term is more recognizable than ever. The ultimate goal is to make efficient and effective use of information in order to resolve the uncertainty and improve productivity at every level, individual, society, and state. So now, we can what Information Technology is but for further understanding, we will discuss the bundled things related to IT.
The first one is the water piping system, what is water piping system?  Wikipedia says that water piping is the process of water flow into a pipe done with the aid of a machine pumper. In water piping, the process of water flow smoothly, easily, speedily and directly. It is also a series of pipes connected together to allow water to flow continuously. Information Technology has something to do with computer, so when we compared water piping to computer, we can say that there are similarities. “Computer pipe lining it is the continuous movement of instruction to the processor or in the arithmetic steps taken by the processor to perform an instruction. Without a pipeline, the computer may take time to process   a given instruction to the processor. Just like in water piping system without a pipeline it takes a long process to flow the water in different houses. With a pipelining, the computer allows the next instruction to fetch while the processor is performing arithmetic operations, holding them in the buffer close to the processor until each instruction operation can be performed. The staging of instruction fetching is continuous. The result is an increase in the number of instructions that can be performed during the given time period.”The example of this is when you are currently using the Microsoft Office while you are using Facebook. While in the water piping system with the pipe lining, for example you are currently using the water in the kitchen while in the bathroom the water is also being used. By the pipeline it can accommodate multiple processes.
The second one is the electrical lining system, what is electrical lining system? Electrical lining system is defined in the Wikipedia as a circuit or loop of an electrical system that are connected directly by conductor terminals to other devices in series. So again like the computer (wherein IT is being committed to). Computers also has an electrical lining system, of course because without this, the computer will never function because this is where electricity travels to make the computer to function, and also because of this electrical lining system we can put some electrical port where some hardware are being put  like the USB flash drives, printer, scanners and many more. And also just like the information technology because in IT you are connected to many things, people, and businesses Like the electrical lining system that is also connected to many series of conductors.
The third bone is the bicycle. A bicycle is defined again by the Wikipedia as a human-powered, pedal-driven, single track vehicle, having two wheels attached to a frame one behind the other. Also provide a popular form of recreation, and have been adapted for such uses as children’s toys, adult fitness, military and police application, courier services and bicycle racing. Bicycle is like IT, because as the bicycle is being defined, the word used is “human-powered”, and like IT, it is also a “human-powered” because human is the operator of the computer that is being used in IT and without an operator, IT will never be exist. Bicycle can be used as transportation. Transfer the things of person from one place to another; it is also gives leisure to the person riding on it. IT is like bicycle because bicycle used to transfer person or things to another place, when we compare it to IT the person or thing is just like the information or messages that by the use of IT it is being transmitted to one person and another.
The fourth one is the roads and highways. Highways are again defined in the Wikipedia as a public road, especially a major road connecting two or more destinations. And the road is defined again by the Wikipedia as a thoroughfare, route, or way on land between two places, which typically has been paved. The roads and highways are similar to IT because IT is a product of technology and roads and highways also is a product of technology. I have some part that I want to share with you; I have read this blog from a girl I don’t know her true name but her user name is “Aktres”.  This is what I have read “IT has different courses that have to be followed to get into the finishing line of a journey or a project successfully. Roads have also different routes and these routes may lead you into different destinations and just like also in IT, it has different branches that lead will lead you to different goals and ends. A road without a traveler is preferred to be meaningless so for this to be useful, an explorer must walk through these roads to travel and make it until the finish line.”  It’s so nice so I choose to include this to my blog.
The fifth one is the library. According to Wikipedia a library is a collection of a sources, resources and services and the structure in which it is housed; it is organized for use and maintained by a public body, an institution, or a private individual; it is also a collection of books; a collection of useful materials common use. So again, a library is like IT because we all know that a library contains information, so like in IT, we all know that it is also contains information for the people who needs it. A library and IT has its stored information that can be used in the future use. So IT and library are similar.
The sixth one is the printing press. According to Wikipedia again printing press is a device for applying pressure to an inked surface resting upon a print medium (such as a paper or cloth) , thereby transferring the ink. By using the printer, we know that it produces some outputs. Without a printer, a printed layout or printout cannot be done successfully. IT is like a printing press, because through IT we can also do some printouts by the use of printer, so by that process the printer and IT are connected. And printing press has something to do with IT.
The seventh one is the telephone. Wikipedia says that a telephone is a telecommunication device that transmits and receives sounds, most commonly the human voice; a point-to-point communication system, most basic function is to allow two people separated by large distances to talk to each other. IT is like a telephone, it also serves as the device for communication because IT is the source of almost all programs that can communicate many people even if their far from each other. Telephone and IT are similar.
And the last one is the airplane. Wikipedia again says that an airplane is a vehicle which is able to fly by being supported by the air, or in general, by the atmosphere of the planet. With the help of IT, all this things are possible. IT helps us to be updated to the new inventions and features about modern technology. So again, IT and the airplane are connected.
A career in IT is not a dead-end job; it’s a rewarding and well-paying career. It’s true because IT is being involved in many jobs nowadays, it’s not a dead-end job because as long as IT exists, the jobs in IT will be continued and I know that it will be progressive. It’s never a dead-end job but it’s a continuous learning and innovating of a lot of things. It’s true because IT serves as the source of many inventions nowadays and as long as there is IT, the innovation of many things will never stop nor  gone. So let’s embrace the beauty of INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY!
